The monthly ‘PlatForum’ discussion group at Dagun Station starts 3.30 pm on the 4th Saturday afternoon of each month and ends by 5pm – open air on the platform of Dagun Railway Station . This coincides with the co-ops weekly fresh produce stall and the Dagun Community Group’s Saturday afternoon wine bar (the ChooChoo Bar).
September’s grafting demonstration/workshop was really appreciated by participants – many thanks to John Brady for sharing the skills honed to perfection from decades of experience. The topic on everyone’s minds at the moment is water, weather and irrigation, so the consensus was that we focus on these issues for the October gathering. Malcolm Leadbetter has agreed to bring along some the findings from the recent research on irrigation scheduling that has been conducted on their property at Dagun, and hopefully others will be willing to share their top tips for happy horticulture during what can be a very stressful time of year on the farm
